1. Provider & scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the sale and use of the BeaconFind desktop application ("BeaconFind", "the Software") offered by Onat Atmaca, Mollwitzstraße 5e, 14059 Berlin, Germany ("we", "us"), as identified in our Impressum. They apply to every purchase made through our website and to the use of any trial or paid licence. By purchasing or using BeaconFind you agree to these Terms.

2. The product

BeaconFind is a Windows application that indexes and searches the files on your own computer using on-device AI. All processing runs locally; your files are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Detailed capabilities and system requirements are described on our website.

3. How a contract is formed

Presenting the Software and its prices on the website is not a binding offer. You make a binding offer when you complete the checkout on our payment provider's page. The contract is concluded when we accept that offer by issuing your licence key, which we send to the email address you provide. A 14-day free trial can be started in the app without payment and does not form a paid contract.

4. Prices & payment

All prices are the total prices shown at checkout. As a small business under § 19 UStG (Kleinunternehmerregelung), we do not charge or show German value-added tax. Payment is handled by Stripe; your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout and never reach our servers. We offer a one-time lifetime licence and a recurring monthly subscription, at the prices shown on the website at the time of purchase. Launch or promotional discounts apply only for their stated period.

5. Delivery of digital goods

BeaconFind is digital content supplied without a physical medium. After a successful payment we deliver the licence key by email, typically within a few minutes, and you can download the installer from our website at any time. There is no shipping and there are no shipping costs.

6. Licence & permitted use

Subject to payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use BeaconFind for your personal or internal business use on up to three (3) devices you own or control, for as long as your licence is valid. You may not resell, sublicense, share, publish or redistribute your licence key, nor circumvent the app's licensing or attempt to reverse-engineer it except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law. Each trial is limited to one device.

7. Right of withdrawal & money-back guarantee

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. Please see our separateRight of Withdrawal page for the full information and the model withdrawal form.

In addition to your statutory rights, we voluntarily offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if BeaconFind is not for you, email [email protected]within 30 days of purchase and we will refund your payment in full, no questions asked.

8. Updates & availability

A lifetime licence includes updates for the supported life of the product. Amonthly subscription entitles you to use BeaconFind and receive updates for as long as the subscription is active; it renews automatically each month until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. We aim to keep BeaconFind working on supported versions of Windows but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, the download, or the online activation service.

9. Warranty & statutory rights

Your statutory warranty rights for digital products under German law apply and are not limited by these Terms. BeaconFind is provided with the functionality and characteristics described on our website. Because search results depend on AI models and on your own files, we do not warrant that any particular file will be found or that results are complete or error-free.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible and on whose observance you may regularly rely), and then only for the foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Any further liability is excluded. This does not affect mandatory liability under the German Product Liability Act. BeaconFind operates only on your own device; you remain responsible for backing up your data.

11. Term & termination

A lifetime licence has no fixed term. A monthly subscription runs until cancelled by you (in the app or by contacting support) or by us for good cause. We may suspend or revoke a licence that is used in breach of Section 6 (e.g. shared or resold keys).

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future purchases, for example to reflect changes in the product or the law. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

13. Governing law & dispute resolution

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution:https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
